Are Head Spa treatments suitable for all hair types?

Yes, our Head Spa treatments can benefit individuals with different hair types and scalp conditions. Our skilled estheticians and cosmetologists can tailor the treatment to address specific concerns, whether it's dry scalp, oily scalp, hair loss, dandruff or general scalp discomfort.

Do I have to leave with wet hair?

We do recommend clipping your damp hair up with one of our complementary claw clips and allowing hair to air dry, as blow drying hair may un-do some of the work we just did with your scalp treatments. If this is not possible, we have a complementary blow dry station or our cosmetologist can blow dry you for an additional fee.

Are Head Spa treatments safe for hair extensions or braids?

We generally recommend that you do NOT get head spa treatments if you have hair extensions or braids. If you are between extensions or about to get braids or extensions moved / re-done, then we can time your treatment accordingly and proceed. You will be asked to sign a waiver.

Are head spa treatments safe for individuals with sensitive skin or scalp conditions?

Yes, our Head Spa treatments are designed to be gentle yet effective, suitable for various skin types, including sensitive scalps. We use high-quality products and techniques that prioritize comfort and safety, and our trained professionals will ensure a customized approach to address your specific sensitivities or concerns.

Are head spa treatments safe for people who scalp psoriasis?

Our treatments are designed with sensitive scalps in mind, including those affected by psoriasis. Our gentle, soothing products & procedures help reduce irritation, hydrate the scalp, and promote overall scalp health. As always, we recommend consulting your dermatologist/psoriasis provider before starting any new treatments to ensure they’re right for you.

I'm pregnant, can I still have a Head Spa treatment?

Due to the use of essential oils and the amount of time lying on your back during treatment, we do not recommend head spa treatments during pregnancy unless cleared by OB/GYN. Inform your therapist that you are pregnant, as some essential oils used during our treatment should be avoided and you may opt to lay on side.

How often can I have a Head Spa treatment?

You may get treatments as often as every 6 weeks! Think of head spa as a facial for your scalp and hair.

Can I have a Head Spa if I have recently colored or highlighted my hair?

We recommend waiting a week or two after after recently having color added to your hair. Note that color may bleed or fade as a result of treatment.

What supplements do you recommend for hair health?

A high quality collagen, such as whole beauty collagen, or an oral supplement like H-S-N Synergy from our physician dispensary both help. Targeted topical treatments may also be recommended by your head spa therapist.
